USA – Refusal to Denounce an Anti-Israel Announcement by the YWCA Movement

On 24^th February 2005, the Board of Trustees of the YWCA Movement voted 11 votes to 5 to dismiss the proposal to denounce a report published by the Movement in 2004. The report accused

Israel of trying to cleanse the country of Palestinians the same as “Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews”. The four-page document described a visit to the Palestinians Authority and a meeting with the late Yasser Arafat in the spring of 2004.
