Spain – An Antisemitic Caricature of Ariel Sharon in a Barcelona Newspaper


On 6th September 2004, the El Periodico published a caricature in which Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is depicted eating and mumbling to himself: “An Israeli spy in the Pentagon? Why should we bother to place a spy in the Pentagon when the Pentagon eats out of our hand? The truth is that it is one of our advisors that directs them (the Pentagon) where to bomb”.
