Belgium – Harassment of Yeshiva Students in Antwerp

On 2nd June 2005, students at a yeshiva (an Orthodox Jewish religious school) in Wilrijk (a suburb of Antwerp) were the victims of antisemitic epithets and threats at the hands of four young thugs of North African origin. The abusers waited for the students at the gates of the yeshiva calling them “dirty Jews” and saying that they wanted to beat them up and warning them that they would return at night with reinforcements and Molotov cocktails.
