Belgium – For the First Time a Court has Dealt with the Issue of Antisemitism


On 14th June 2005, a minor offences court heard the case against a 22-year-old man of Moroccan origin who while riding his bicycle rode past a Jew on Statiestraat in Antwerp and shouted at him “I’m a Palestinians and I want to kill all the Jews”. In another case, three young persons had cursed at Jews calling them “dirty Jews”.
