Belgium – Antisemitic Epithets Shouted at a Young Jew in Antwerp

On 27^th June 2005, two youths of North African origin shouted antisemitic epithets at a religious Jew in a clothing store in Antwerp. When he went up to the cash register to pay for his purchases, the cashier asked him “Why are you wearing a skullcap? Are you Jewish”? After he had paid, the cashier shouted after him “I hate Jews”.
