A Jewish woman patient at a hospital in Knokke was the victim of antisemitic epithets from a woman patient at the same hospital. That woman said: “I see in your face who you are. Do you understand what I want to say? You’re one of those with whom no connection must be made. What are you doing in Belgium, anyway”? The Jewish woman answered her: “The Nazis died out and the Flemish racists will die out, too”! The first woman retorted with “Jews to the gas chambers”!
