Austria – Holocaust Denier sentenced

On 25th April 2006, an Austrian court meted out a one-year suspended prison sentence to John Gudenus for denying the existence of the gas chambers in a television interview last year. Gudenus claimed that he had not actually denied the existence of the gas chambers but had merely questioned whether they had really existed in the Third Reich in the years 1933-1938, but this  did not convince the court.  Gudenes will appeal his sentence.
