On 7th and 11th April 2006, there were antisemitic incidents in Vitebsk, Northern Belarus. The target in both incidents was the building housing “Hesed”, the local community’s Joint Distribution Committee’s Center, which provides help to the needy. In the first incident the hooligans tried to break open the building’s gate and in the second instance they tossed stones into the courtyard. The “Hesed” Administration registered a complaint with the police which mounted an investigation.
