At approximately 1.10am, the Rabbi from North Shore Temple Emmanuel Synagogue heard noises outside his window, followed by a loud bang /explosion. The Rabbi looked out the window and noticed a vehicle driving
quickly down the road away from the venue.A firecracker / explosive device approximately 10cm long had been placed
in the intercom system, adjacent to the front gate. The
explosion
destroyed the intercom box. CCTV footage shows that the device had been placed there by 3-4 males in their late teens or early 20s.
