USA – The United National Secretary General Denounces the Denial of the Holocaust

On 5^th September 2006, during his visit to

Iran, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan demanded that the Iranians accept the Holocaust as a historical fact. Annan said “In my opinion the Holocaust is an undeniable event and children must be taught about the what happened during World War II so as to prevent it [happening] in the future”. Annan’s remarks came in reaction to Ahmadinejad’s claim that the Holocaust is a myth and that

Israel must be destroyed. Annan also criticized that Holocaust exhibition of Holocaust caricatures now being shown in

Iran.
