On 1st September 2006, vandals burned a swastika onto the lawn of an Evangelical Christian woman who was flying the Israeli flag at the entrance to her home in Tacoma, Washington State. A rock with the word “Jew” daubed on was thrown through the window of the house. The vandals apparently assumed that since the family was flying the Israeli flag, they must be Jews.
