On 8th August 2006, as a Jewish man was eating at a stand owned by Muslims in Forest Hills, Queens, a group of men approached him and asked if he was Jewish. When he answered that he was, the men demanded that he leave the place saying that they did not want people like him there. He refused to leave and was beaten about the face and the head. A friend who was with him was also attacked after he had been asked if he was Jewish.
