Belgium– An Antisemitic Caricature of a Jewish Political Figure in Antwerp

On 10th July 2007, the Flemish-language satirical newspaper, T’scheldt, published a caricature depicting the leaders of the Spirit party, Geert and Bert Lambert on one side and Claude Marinower, the Communal Advisor in Antwerp and a former Federal legislature representative. The latter was depicted in the stereotypical antisemitc caricature style, wearing the yellow patch. The others asked him to climb a ladder and get into a bin full of chicken carcasses and marked “Belgian garbage”.
