On 10th September 2007, as the Chair of the congregation was examining her mail, she found a suspicious letter that had been sent to the synagogue’s rabbi. The envelope was signed with a dead man’s head. The letter itself, which was written in Dutch, stated that for over 60 years the Jews had presented themselves as victims, while the victims are the mothers and children in the Middle East. This is not the first time that this congregation has been threatened and also not the first time that a complaint was made.
