On Friday, 14th September 2007, the second day of Rosh Hashanah, in the afternoon as worshippers were performing the act of Tashlikh (the symbolic act of casting one’s sins into a body of water – a lake, a river or the sea) in a park, three men of North African appearance who were present in the park, began hurling insults at them. The police, which was present in the park asked the latter to leave, which they did. Some 500 meters further away the three appeared in another place, in Berlgielie, which serves as a ritual site, and began cursing again. The police arrested them.
