Czech – Antisemitic Shouts during a Soccer Match in Prague

On 13th October 2007, during a soccer match, fans of the Sparta Prague team once again shouted antisemitic epithets at the rival team, Slavia. They shouted Jude, Jude and even held up a poster with the word Jude written on it. A similar incident had occurred in August 2007. As soon as the antisemitic shouting started, Czech Television cut off the sound. The broadcasting station stressed that should such incidents recur, it would boycott all of Sparta’s games.
