Russia – Antisemitic and racist violence in St. Petersburg

A series of antisemitic and racist attacks that took place in St. Petersburg, Russia may be related. None of the three victims, a citizen of Uzbekistan (who was found stabbed to death), a Jewish man (who was hospitalized with stab wounds), and a citizen of Moldova (who was also stabbed) were robbed by their assailants. All three attacks took place in close proximity to each other on the same night, and the two surviving victims told police that the attackers were a group of youths. Police have so far not officially linked the attacks into one investigation, nor have they filed hate crimes charges.
