A visibly Jewish man was on the way from his home to the local tram stop in Melbourne when he was verbally assaulted by three individuals who referred to him as a “fucking Jew”, among other antisemitic vitriol. The victim, fearing for his safety attempted to flee the scene but was chased down and physically assaulted. As a result of the incident, the victim was lightly injured.
