The victim is a teacher at a non-Jewish school in Guildford. The perpetrator is a work colleague who knows that the victim is Jewish. The victim was in the staff room when the perpetrator said “The commandant of Belsen was supposedly a very nice man. Can you imagine a very nice man murdering and slaughtering people all day”. This was followed by lots of laughter. The victim felt very intimidated by this. The victim was afraid to speak up in case it jeopardised her job.The perpetrator is an Evangelical Christian.
