A pro-Palestinian site, ” Electronic Intifada“, uses the symbolic picture of the child “raising his hands” from the Ghetto of Warsaw, illustrating the article written by Joseph Massad and untitled “Insurrection in the Ghetto of Gaza“.
The picture “the child raising his hands” is one of the most famous pictures related to the Holocaust. It symbolizes the extent of the tragic destiny of the Jews during the Holocaust and of the Jews who fought in the ghetto, as well as the end of the fights and the submission of the Jews to the Nazis in the ghetto at the end of the rebellion. In his article, Massad makes an analogy between the rebels in the ghetto of Warsaw that he praises and the habitants of the “ghetto of Gaza” against the “Israeli military machine“.
