Police are investigating a rash of hate letters sent to faculty members at Columbia University’s Teachers College,
including Elizabeth Midlarsky, a Jewish professor similarly victimized in 2007.

The letters were in envelopes slipped into the faculty members’ mail slots.
Three of the envelopes, including one that was unsealed, contained drawings of swastikas. The fourth had a drawing of a noose.
