In the framework of the annual Congres held by the Islamic Swociety of North-America (ISNA), the largest islamic community organisation in America, to which participated rabbis who work for the reconciliation between Jews and Muslims, the Imam Warith Dee Umar has pronounced a severe speech against the Jews. The Imam from New-York has accused the Jews to be responsible for the Holocaust and has claimed that a small handful of Jews in the White House control the world.
The leaders of the Islamic Society have condemned the content of the speech and have emphasized the fact that the spirit of the words does not reflect the attitude of the organization toward other religions.
