Rabbi Mordehai Zeev Vazner who sojourns in the “Heart intention” camp in
Catskill Mountains
along with his schoolboys went out for a walk outside the camp’s limits. While he was walking on the road nearby and talking on the phone, an unknown man who was walking by, threw himself at the rabbi, hit him on his whole body and then run away by foot.
The yeshiva schoolboys who arrived a few minutes later found their director lying down and bleeding.
The safety and security forces that were called on site provided the rabbi with first aid. He was then transported to the hospital where it was found that he suffers serious injury resulting from the blows on his head.
New-York police have opened an investigation.
