Austria – Rapid Vienna Supporter performed Nazi Salute against Hapoel Tel Aviv and was expelled

During a game at the Bloomfield Stadium last Thursday between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Rapid Vienna, a Rapid Vienna supporter was captured by the television cameras performing the Nazi salute and shouting: “Scheiss Juden” – “SHIT JEWS” in English.

The supporter was located by club employee Andy Marick who expelled him for 3 years from all football fields. Marick is responsible for relations between the team and the community.

Rapid’s press officer Sharif Shoukry told “ONE” in a conversation from Vienna: “We condemn the supporter and have therefore immediately expelled him for 3 years from both our home and away games in Austria and also from all our international matches”.

“We wish to emphasize that he is not one of our recognized supporters and we consider it a shame and a disgrace that he performed an act that should be banned and never performed again”.

An additional source within the Austrian club said: “This is a case involving a stupid and idiotic supporter. We are embarrassed”.
