Egypt – “Even the Jews would not been behaved with such savagery”

After the loss to Algeria in Khartoum, the storm continues. At least 35 people, including 11 Egyptian policemen, were injured in various clashes in the last 48 hours between security forces and hundreds of protesters near the embassy in Algeria in Cairo. The demonstrators threw stones, Molotov cocktails, causing damage to 15 cars at least in the “Publishing frustration” about their team losing 1:0 to Algeria in World Cup qualifications.

Slogans condemning the demonstrators called for Algeria, burned flags, sang the national anthem and tried to get close to the Egyptian embassy building. Security forces kept them away. Popular Egyptian singer Mohammad Fouad, tried to explain the disturbances around the Algerian embassy in popular morning program in the country. “It was a bloodbath in Khartoum,” said Fuad, who also attended the decisive game in Sudan. “Even if the Jews would have won us, they would not act with such barbarism.”
