USA – Second hate crime suspect turns himself in

Eugene Police says a man suspected in a hate crime has turned himself in.

Officers arrested Michael Rister who goes by the name “Sweet Pea” in the West University area.

Rister, along with Gary Kehm, is accused of attacking a Jewish man twice in one night.

During the assaults, the suspects allegedly yelled antisemitic slurs at the victim. Officers caught Kehm on Sunday, but they’d been looking for Rister ever since.
