Ukraine – Antisemitic graffiti at Chabad school in Kiev

Vandals in Kiev, apparently active in a locally known neo-Nazi organization, damaged the town’s Jewish Chabad-run school.

The vandals broke into the school building, sprayed on the walls slogans such as “Death to Jews” and “Death to Israel” and painted swastikas and illustrations of the Star of David hanging from a rope. According to Rabbi Yosef Aharonov, head of Chabad activities in Ukraine, the name of a known neo-Nazi organization was sprayed on the wall.

“There is no doubt that the exploitation of the events in Israel – in order to increase the interest surrounding this ugly provocation. We are convinced that the government of Ukraine, with its warm and positive attitude to Jews, will arrest the offenders,” he said.
