Police in the western Germany say they are investigating an arson attack on a synagogue in the city of Worms.
Overnight someone poured a flammable liquid on the stone building and set it alight.
Officers found several copies of a letter claiming responsibility for the attack which read, in badly worded German: “As soon as you don’t leave the Palestinians in peace, we won’t let you in peace.”
Firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze, and police say there was no serious damage to the building or injuries.
Police say they have no immediate suspects in the attack.
