New-Zealand – Radio host suspended over anti-Jew comments (Video)

Radio host David Fane has been suspended by the Radio Network following his racist and homophobic remarks at a media event.

Fane, who hosts a breakfast show on radio station Flava and was a creator for the animated TV show bro’Town, told an audience at the inaugural Radio Roast that “Hitler had a right”, HIV sufferers deserved to be “roasted”, and “Jews were expendable”.

As Fane already had previously scheduled leave next week, he will return to broadcasting at Flava on July 12.

He apologised last night, saying his comments were “dumb”. “I really am so very sorry for any offence I’ve caused you,” he said. “They were dumb words, said by a dumb man.”
