Budapest – under the
instructions of the National Public Education Secretariat, Klebelsberg Institution
Maintenance Center

(KILK) (translator’s note: a large and branched body established by the
Hungarian government in 2012 to carry out a comprehensive overhaul of the
Hungarian education system) opened an extraordinary investigation in regard of
Facebook posts made by an educator from Pesterzsebet (southern district of
Budapest). Sanctions will be decided according to investigation’s results –
announced the National Secretariat.

 

444.hu news channel noted already on Tuesday wrote that the
educator in question likes to post in public portal, along with information
about textbooks purchases, also Nazi jokes, with illustration using Hitler’s
image.

 

According to the official announcement of the National
Public Education Secretariat, in case that the posts presented on the portal
are real, the teacher can not remain employed by KLIK. For the duration of the
investigation, KLIK releases the teacher from his
employment.
