Paris – Wednesday evening, around 17:00, a young man was the target of an assault in the nineteenth arrondissement of the capital.
The victim was approached by three men who tried to steal his bag. Upon seeing the young man’s yarmulke, the assailants jostled their victim, threw him to the ground and then kicked him several times, uttering antisemitic remarks.
The battered young man quickly went to the police station to file a complaint. For now, the attackers have not been identified or found.
According to our information, the day before, in Sarcelles (Val-d’Oise), a girl, also of Jewish faith, came to the police station to file a complaint after being assaulted in the street by a stranger.
The victim, a minor, said she was approached while she was with a classmate by a man. For no apparent reason, he was shot in the back before uttering words in Arabic. According to the victim’s statements, the attacker then mimicked a pistol with his hand. In front of the police, the teenager indicated that she had visible distinctive signs in relation to her religion at the time of her assault. An investigation has been opened.
