Salzburg – Nazi graffiti continue to appear in various locations in Salzburg: during the
weekend unknown vandals sprayed Nazi graffiti on a memorial plaque on the front
of St. Michael’s Church in Residenz
Square, which commemorates the book burning done
by the Nazis in 1938.
The vandals painted with tar a black
graffiti reminiscent of a swastika on the memorial plaque.
The sprayed plaque display a quote of
Heinrich Heine: ” Where they burn books, they will
in the end also burn people.”
