Spain – Antisemitism in the Falla Arrancapins

València – The Falla Arrancapins (Cultural association) has presented at the Ninot Exhibition a figure that represents a Christmas tree that sits on a swastika and crowns a Star of David.

In the middle, hanging from the supposed branches, injured and mutilated babies’ heads.

The Falla Arrancapins clarified the message:

So that there is no doubt about what the figure displayed here represents, we are denouncing the genocide being carried out by the Israeli government and its army on the Palestinian civilian population, on their peoples, on refugee camps, on hospitals, some from humanitarian NGOs and UN. Attacks that are leaving the Palestinian population without a future (systematically killing boys and girls), and destroying their present (destroying their homes).

The Ángel Guimerá-Pintor Vila Prades falla, better known as Arrancapins, has been forced to put a sign on the ninot that it exhibits at the Ninot Exhibition, which has generated criticism from the Jewish community of Valencia, to clarify that “it does not “They hate Jews or those who profess that religion” but “they denounce the government of Israel for the genocide in Gaza.”
