Weimar – Antisemitic graffiti has been discovered again in Weimar. The lettering, known from previous acts, was installed in a modified form on a large area on the outer wall of the former EOW site in Oberweimar. “JEWS ARE PERMITTERS” (JUDEN*DE SIND TÄTER) could be read on the wall along the stone bridge path.
The graffiti was noticed by Achava director Martin Kranz on Boxing Day, who immediately informed the city and the Weimar police about the incident. He filed a complaint and called on the city administration to “immediately remove this widespread racist insult.” As far as he knows, this wall is owned by the municipality.
Previously, posters for the Achava Festival and the Yiddish Simmer in Weimar, among others, had been similarly defaced.
