Champigny-sur-Marne – An individual is still wanted by the police after threatening with a knife and verbally attacking the director of a daycare in Champigny-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne). A nursery frequented by many Jewish families, whose director is also Jewish.
The man made violent antisemitic threats against the director before fleeing. An investigation was opened in particular for “death threats due to race, ethnicity, nation or religion”. She was entrusted to the Val-de-Marne judicial police.”
Nine children were present in the nursery, but none witnessed the scene. Moreover, no injuries were reported, but the director was very shocked by this attack.
The events took place this Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. The man enters the nursery with a knife of approximately 15 centimeters. He enters the director’s office, brandishes the weapon in her direction and tells her: “You’re a Jew, you’re a Zionist, five of us are going to come and rape you, cut you up like they did in Gaza.” .
An attack which greatly shocks Mathieu Lefèvre, deputy for Val-de-Marne. “There is horror, anger and absolute disgust at this despicable act which adds to a terrible list of anti-Semitic acts. Since October 7, there has been a tripling of anti-Semitic acts because speech has been freed,” he says.
