USA – Ashland police investigate bias crime at Chabad House

Ashland, OR – The Ashland Police Department is actively investigating a disturbing crime involving an unidentified individual who vandalized the front of the Chabad House in Ashland. The incident occurred as the perpetrator, captured in surveillance footage, yelled a racial epithet during the act.

The suspect, pictured in the released image above, was accompanied by a male and female during the time of the incident, as reported by eyewitnesses. The Ashland Police Department is urging the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals involved and providing any relevant information to aid the ongoing investigation.

Officer Angel Valdez, leading the investigation, is calling on community members who may recognize the pictured man or have information related to this case to come forward.

Local authorities emphasize their commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive community and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or bias-motivated crimes.

The suspect vandalized the Chabad by throwing eggs at it.
