Spain – The two synagogues of the Jewish Quarter of Toledo are evicted due to a false bomb threat

Toledo – The two synagogues located in the Jewish Quarter of Toledo , Santa María la Blanca and Tránsito , were evacuated early this Thursday as a precautionary measure after receiving a bomb threat, which turned out to be false.

Sources from the National Police have informed EFE that early this Thursday an email was received alerting of a bomb threat at the Tránsito Synagogue, in the heart of Toledo’s Jewish quarter and which is the headquarters of the Museum. Sephardic , although the agents have considered from the first moment that it was a hardly credible threat.

However, the agents have proceeded to evacuate the two synagogues in the Jewish quarter of Toledo and, after inspecting the area, they have verified that there was no bomb , so the museum has opened its doors normally and also the synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, which receives tourist visits.
