Leipzig – Unknown people defaced a Jewish memorial column on Aurelienstrasse and daubed it with two black letters.
The police said on Friday that political motivation in connection with the Middle East conflict cannot be ruled out for the two letterings.
The amount of damage could not yet be quantified.
The police are investigating property damage.
