Argentina – A man was arrested after threatening to attack Jewish schools

Buenos Aires – In the last few hours, the Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Federal Police deployed a major operation and arrested a man who threatened to attack Jewish community schools. The young man, of legal age, published intimidating and hateful messages against different institutions. Cell phones and other electronic devices were seized at the scene.

Since the conflict between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group broke out, threats and attacks on people from the Jewish community have increased. In recent days, for example, the AMIA had to be evacuated due to messages warning of the placement of bombs inside the buildings.

On this occasion, the Anti-Terrorist Unit squad of the Federal Police received an alert from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) about the existence of a young man who published intimidating messages and direct threats to Jewish schools on social networks.

Through an operation and monitoring on social networks, they managed to locate the devices where this man sent the threats and carried out an operation at his home. The young man, of legal age and whose identity is withheld, was brought to justice and the electronic devices seized during the operation will be examined.

In addition, they are investigating whether it has links with terrorist forces, since these episodes are derivatives of the conflict that occurs in the Middle East in the country.
