Boca Raton, FL – Several West Boca Raton homes received what are being described as antisemitic leaflets early Monday. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that an investigation is under way.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned that several homes, some of which are located in gated communities, were targeted. No one was individually threatened. It was not immediately clear if the leaflet distributors were caught on camera. While trespassing in a gated community is a community act, the act of distributing leaflets with any language, regardless of content, is protected by the first amendment. There was no threat of violence, according to PBSO, which shared this statement with BocaNewsNow.com.
“Several Antisemitic flyers were distributed in West Boca this morning. Detectives are investigating and we are collecting the materials. No direct threats were made.”
