Dachau – It is less than two kilometers as the crow flies from the green banks of the Amper to the crematorium of the former Dachau concentration camp. Here, of all places, on the river, strangers sprayed bright red letters on several signs: “Stop the animal holocaust. Be vegan!” In social networks and on site, passers-by are now outraged at the choice of words used by the alleged animal rights activists – the city has since had the graffiti removed.
A 1.6-kilometre-long recreation path with seven stations to pause, so-called “city oases”, meanders through the forest near Etzenhausen between Erich-Ollenhauer-Straße and the “La Bodega” restaurant.
