Lublin – in front of the Yesliwas Chachmej synagogue at ul. Lubartowska, there was a picket about the ritual slaughter of animals. A group of activists decided to protest against the killing of animals without first stunning them, which is practiced by some Muslim and Jewish communities. In Poland, it is carried out precisely for the needs of these communities.
The protest was also part of an information campaign on kosher and halal ritual slaughter, which aims to raise public awareness of the facts about the practice and bring this topic back into the public debate, especially before the upcoming elections. The aim was also to make the public aware of the fact that meat from ritual slaughter is also sold as ordinary meat and is consumed by the average Pole.
