Paris – Meyer Habib, the deputy of the French people living abroad, questioned the French Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak on Tuesday in the National Assembly for her lack of reaction after the remarks made by Arabic-speaking journalists from France 24 .
“These are the tweets of journalists from the public Arabic channel France 24 calling for hatred of Jews and Israel! Why no government reaction to these neo-Nazi remarks financed by French public service taxes?!” , questioned Mr. Habib.
“Three of the four journalists implicated are still in post and paid by French taxes. No reaction on your part to these neo-Nazi remarks,” he lamented. “Our democracy deserves better than the post-war reducto ad hitlerum theorized by the Stalinists . has real foot soldiers in the political and media space, but by attacking Cnews and Europe 1, the government is in the wrong lair!”, he continued.
“Madam Minister, why this intellectual hemiplegia? Your moralistic crusade poorly masks your complacency vis-à-vis the new antisemitism that is the demonization of Israel”, he launched, urging the minister to “use the same zeal against the antisemitic journalists of France 24 than the one deployed against Vincent Bolloré!”. The government refused to respond to the member’s comments.
