Netherlands – Jewish monument in Terborg destroyed shortly after unveiling

Terborg – The Jewish monument of Terborg has been destroyed and scratched by vandals.

The monument commemorates Jewish life in Terborg and is a reminder of the gruesome way in which that life was exterminated.

The memorial is located on 22 Silvoldseweg in Terborg and was unveiled less than three months ago under the watchful eye of relatives from far and wide, including Israel. The synagogue was built on the same spot in 1901 and there is a Jewish cemetery nearby.
