The Cologne city council spoke out across party lines against a planned concert by Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters in the city.
The Greens faction published a corresponding open letter, in which the Cologne Lanxess Arena was asked to prevent the concert. Below the text were the names of representatives of the Greens, CDU, SPD, FDP, Volt and other elected officials. You stand “united against all antisemitism,” it said.
Waters is accused of running antisemitic propaganda. Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth said that the musician had “obviously become a conspiracy theorist”.
