Fleischmanns, NY – Two men were arrested after a Fleischmanns synagogue window was broken.
According to state police, Joseph S. Hayes, 21, of Middletown, NY and Cory T. Bartley, 26 of Fleischmanns, NY were arrested after Hayes broke a window at a Fleischmanns synagogue.
State police say the two were walking down Main Street on Friday, May 20, when Hayes opened a gate, entered synagogue property and threw a large rock at a window, breaking it.

State police say the two were walking down Main Street on Friday, May 20, when Hayes opened a gate, entered synagogue property and threw a large rock at a window, breaking it.
Bartley also threw a rock at the building, but his rock did not cause any damage.
Hayes was charged with one count of criminal mischief in the 3rd degree and one count of criminal trespass in the 3rd degree.
Bartley was charged with one count of criminal mischief in the 4th degree.
An investigation by police did not uncover any evidence that the building was targeted because it is a synagogue.
