Hillel InternationalOn April 11 and 12, college and university presidents from more than 40 schools will gather for a two-day summit on rising anti-Semitic activity and the marginalization of Jewish students on campus.
The summit will be presented by Hillel International, a global Jewish academic organization, and the American Jewish Committee (AJC), a Jewish advocacy group, in partnership with the American Council on Education (ACE), one of the leading organizations in defense of the country’s higher education. .
“University presidents have a vital role to play in improving the campus climate for Jewish students and ensuring that all students can live and study in environments free from hatred and intolerance,” said Adam Lehman, president. and CEO of Hillel International. “This summit will give university administrators the tools and resources they need to speak out against anti-Semitism and take specific action to make our campuses safer.”
The summit will take place at the Center for Jewish History in New York. Dr. Andrew Hamilton, President of New York University, will host the event.
Institutions that will participate in the conference include Boston University, Columbia University, Ohio State University, and the University of Miami, among several other universities and colleges. Three members of the U.S. House of Representatives Task Force on Combating Antisemitism will also engage in dialogue on these issues at the April 11 opening dinner.
