Cologne – the police are investigating an antisemitic incident.

During a demonstration of the German Trade Union Association on May 1st at the Neumarkt market in Cologne, a 57-year-old man called “May 1 Free of Jews!”. “Democracy without freedom of opinion is like physics without substance” – was written on one of the signs, raised in a crowd of about 7,500 demonstrators.

When things developed into a fight, the man shouted racist remarks several times – the police recorded his personal details and told him to leave the demonstration. Together with the woman and another escort, who photographed the scene, the man left the demonstration.
