Police launched an investigation after a Jewish VTC driver was attacked
Seine-Saint-Denis, Paris – A VTC driver picked up a customer on the night between Wednesday and Thursday when eight people “pulled him out of his car, hit him and ran away with the car.”
Police sources said Friday that an investigation was launched into a violent robbery after a Jewish VTC driver was attacked in Clichy-sous-Bois in Saint-Denis.
People close to the investigation opened by the prosecutor’s office in Bobigny, said the VTC driver had picked up a client for a ride in the night between Wednesday and Thursday when eight people “pulled him out of his car, hit him and ran away with the car.”
The victim said he heard one of the assailants shouting: “You are a feuj (Jew), you have money, you have to be searched.” The VTC driver, who was brought to the hospital, suffered “superficial wounds on the face and hands,” according to the source.
The Office for Combating Antisemitism (BNVCA) condemns the attack and “notes that the cliché of the Jew and the money continues and pollutes the minds of the anti-Semites, with the virus of hatred of the Jew.”
