Lakewood resident injured in antisemitic assault on Shabbos
Lakewood Township, NJ – A Lakewood resident was injured in a reported antisemitic assault over Shabbos, the victim told TLS exclusively
At approximately 10:40 PM Friday night, the man was walking with several others along County Line Road when a motorist drove by, and a passenger forcefully threw a hard full bottle of soda at the group while yelling about Jews.
The person threw it like a rock, really fast, struck me in the stomach, and I went down, the victim told TLS
The vehicle, described as a black sedan without lights on, fled towards Brick, the victim said.
The victim says that as of Motzei Shabbos he was still in pain from the incident, and intends to go to the hospital for an evaluation.
A police report is being made.
